1. Introduction
These Terms and Conditions apply to all work carried out by Reliable & Refined Electrical, an electrical services business based in Coventry. By accepting a quotation or agreeing for work to commence, you agree to these terms. They apply to both residential and commercial customers unless otherwise stated. 2. Services Offered
R&R Electrical provides a range of electrical services including:
- Consumer unit (fuseboard) upgrades
- Electrical inspections (EICR)
- Fault finding and repairs
- Lighting installations, both internal and external
- External sockets
- EV charger installations
- General electrical maintenance
All work is carried out with reasonable skill and care in accordance with current UK electrical regulations. Full details of services are available on our Services page.
3. Quotations and Pricing
- All quotations are free of charge and valid for 30 days.
- Quotes are based on the information provided. Additional work due to unforeseen issues will be discussed and agreed before proceeding.
- Each quote confirms whether it includes labour, materials, or both.
4. Payments and Deposits
- If a deposit is required, the amount will be confirmed at the time of quotation.
- Final payment is due upon completion unless otherwise agreed.
- Accepted payment methods are bank transfer and cash.
- Work may be paused or cancelled in cases of non-payment.
5. Customer Responsibilities
Customers agree to:
- Provide clear and safe access to the work area
- Ensure power supply is available where required
- Inform us of any known hazards
- Protect valuables and furnishings
Delays caused by lack of access may result in additional costs.
6. Cancellations and Delays
- At least 48 hours notice is required for cancellations or rescheduling.
- Short-notice cancellations may incur a charge.
- We are not responsible for delays outside our control, including weather, supplier delays, or material shortages.
7. Guarantees and Workmanship
- All labour includes a 12-month workmanship guarantee.
- Materials are covered by manufacturer warranties.
- Guarantees do not cover misuse, third-party interference, wear and tear, or damage after completion.
8. Liability and Insurance
- Public liability insurance up to £2 million.
- We are not responsible for pre-existing faults, hidden defects, damage caused by third parties, or delays beyond our control.
- Customers must ensure necessary permissions (for example, landlord approval) are in place.
9. Privacy and Data
Personal data is collected only to deliver our services and comply with legal requirements. It is handled in accordance with UK GDPR. Full details are available upon request or on our Privacy Policy page.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
